No. Many players join East Breakers with no previous rugby experience at all.
We welcome beginners and children trying rugby for the first time.

Training is held on Thursdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.

Games are played on Saturday mornings at Nagle Park, Maroubra.

Yes. East Breakers has always been part of the Easts Rugby family and provides a grassroots rugby pathway for younger players in the Eastern Suburbs.

From U10 onwards, players move into Easts Junior Beasties and continue their rugby journey within the Easts family.

Tri-tag is a non-contact version of rugby designed to help younger players learn the basics of the game in a fun and safe way. It focuses on running, passing, teamwork and enjoyment.

U6 and U7 are tri-tag only.

Contact tackling starts in U8 and U9.

Yes. East Breakers will also be entering mixed tri-tag teams in U8 and U9.

Yes. If your child is unsure about rugby, they are welcome to come down to training and try it out.
